Peter is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) / (Eur Ing), Chairman of the PROFIBUS and PROFINET International Training Centre Workgroup (PITC), a member of the PROFIBUS UK Steering Committee and an Instructor at the Application, Training & Engineering Centre of Endress + Hauser. He is a Certified PROFIBUS Engineer, Certified PROFIBUS Designer and a Certified PROFINET Engineer.
He has 30+ years of practical experience in several areas of Process & Manufacturing Automation, the last 22 of which have been with Control Specialists Ltd. This experience includes Software Design, GAMP Validation, PID Loop Optimisation, ExperTune Support, Control System Support, PROFIBUS / PROFINET validation and support, delivering Process Control, PROFIBUS and PROFINET training courses. He has worked for clients in the Pharmaceutical, Water, Chemical, Glass, Oil & Gas & Food industries & has worked on projects / delivered training courses in Australia, the US and several counties around Europe

He is a Certified PROFIBUS Engineer, Certified PROFIBUS Designer and a Certified PROFINET Engineer.

His experience encompasses Control System Software Design complying with GAMP and Validation, Install and commission, Maintenance and System Support, PID Control and Loop Optimisation, SQL Historian and SSRS Reports. He has worked for clients in the Pharmaceutical, Water, Chemical, Glass, Machinery manufactures, Aerospace & Food industries, projects have been in UK, France, Middle East, USA, South Africa, China and Korea.
Our services are applicable to all sectors of the Process and Factory Automation Industries. We often work abroad and have specific experience in working in Aerospace, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Water, Power, Paper, Heat Treatment, Food and Utilities. We also work directly with, or on behalf of, OEM’s whose equipment is used in these industries.
We have operated a BSI certified ISO9001 Quality Management System (QMS) since 2003 with our scope of our registration being "Process control, software design, validation, consultancy and training ". We have a defined Quality Policy and our QMS is regularly audited by 3rd parties.
The QMS was, and continues to be, influenced by our knowledge and regular use of GAMP 5 (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice). GAMP is a standard used by the pharmaceutical industry and acts as the definition of good practice for designing, testing and validating automated systems.
At the end of a project, we canvas our clients for their opinion on the level of service they have received from us. This is based on eight categories, each of which are marked between 1 (Poor) and 10 (Excellent). Some clients go further and provide testimonials which can be found on the home page of this site. All past audits and client feedback are available on request.
